Is a mobile app worth it for my business?
Short answer
It is worth it when the app solves something your customers or team do often on their phones: booking, ordering, paying, dispatching technicians, logging jobs or checking status. If it would only repeat your website, skip it. A cross-platform app for Android and iOS costs less than two native apps.

Customer app or team app
A customer app is for booking, buying, paying or tracking a service. A team app is for receiving jobs, logging progress, taking photos, signing deliveries or recording field sales. Many businesses get more return from the second, because it saves hours every day.
When it pays off
- Your customers buy or book repeatedly.
- You have technicians, drivers or reps in the field.
- You need GPS, camera, notifications or offline work.
- You want to charge or track in real time.
Features that make the difference
- Simple sign-in and roles per user type.
- Useful, non-intrusive notifications.
- Built-in payments.
- Live map and tracking, if you dispatch.
- A web admin panel for your office.
- Android and iOS from a single codebase.
What drives the cost
How many screens and user types it has, the integrations (payments, maps, inventory, WhatsApp) and the admin panel. Launch a version focused on the main process first and add features from real usage.
Publishing and maintenance
The app is published on Google Play and the App Store under your account and needs updates as operating systems change. Plan for it from day one.
How we solved it

Related questions
Native or cross-platform?
For most businesses, cross-platform: one codebase runs on Android and iOS with near-native performance and lower maintenance cost.
Do I also need a website?
Usually yes. The website attracts and explains; the app serves existing customers or your team. Both can share the same system.
Do I own the app?
It should be published under your company's store accounts, and the contract should state who owns the code and the data.
